These buttery, crunchy cookies taste like shortbread. They have a great crunch and would be great with ice cream.
These cookies are only 5 ingredients and take no time to make. The 2 sticks of butter in the recipe make these cookies irresistible.
Chocolate Chip Butter Cookies
Makes 4 dozen
1 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 375 F. In the microwave, melt butter and stir in vanilla. Let cool completely.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar, stir in butter mixture and chocolate chips. Mixture will be crumbly.
3. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets; flatten slightly. Bake for 12 minutes. Let cool. Enjoy.

Haley, I made these cookies and they were awful. Are you missing some ingredients or something?
Really?? Why were they awful?
Are we sure there wasn’t supposed to be any baking powder or baking soda?
