It doesn’t get much easier then this. Only 4 ingredients to make this thick, chunky bar.
You could of course make your own chocolate chip cookie dough from scratch but I would rather take the easy way out
If you like cheesecake, you will love these bars. They taste homemade but take less then 10 minutes to make.
Chocolate Chip Cheese Bars
Makes 12 servings
1 tube (18 ounces) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough-(I could only find 16.5 ounce, works fine)
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Cut cookie dough in half. For crust, press half of the dough onto the bottom of a 8-inch square baking dish.
2. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and egg until smooth. Spread over crust. Crumble remaining dough over top. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Let cool and enjoy!
